WHAT IS IT?
PASSAGE is a 48-day flight expedition that began in December 2022 and concluded in January 2023.
24 year-old pilot Lee Giat has flown solo to some of Latin America's most hard-to-reach communities, while working to provide education essentials for aspiring young scientists. The project was established in memory of Lee's father, Nissan Giat, who tragically passed away in a plane crash in 2020. |
Our flying laboratory, the "Spirit of Science," brought over $50,000 of school supplies, technology, books, telescopes, and lab equipment directly into the hands of underserved teachers and students.
In addition, we have worked with local governments and community leaders to host over 30 outreach events. These include STEM festivals, astronomy nights, and teacher training workshops. |
